1. Cancel the subscription first
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Beezz → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Beezz → Cancel subscription.
After cancelling you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. You can delete the account straight away — there is no need to wait for that date.
2. Delete the account in the app
- Open BeezzSign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to SettingsThe settings icon on the app's home screen.
- Choose Account → Delete accountIt sits at the bottom of the account settings list.
- ConfirmThe app asks you to confirm, because the operation cannot be undone. Once confirmed you are signed out and the data is deleted immediately.
3. What exactly is deleted
- The account and sign-in details — your email address and the hash of your password.
- Your profile: display name and app settings.
- Every expense and every incoming amount you added: values, categories, dates, merchants and notes.
- Budgets, limits, custom categories and recurring entries.
- Household members' names in households you own.
- Any unused invite codes.
- Sentences turned into entries, together with the parsed result.
- Events recorded for usage statistics, and active days.
None of it can be recovered afterwards, by you or by us. If you want to keep your spending history, export it before deleting the account or write to us and we will prepare a copy.
4. What stays, and why
| Data | For how long | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Database backups | up to 30 days | They run automatically and expire after that window, taking your data with them. We never use them to restore a deleted account. |
| Subscription purchase records | 5 years from the end of the tax year | Required by Polish tax law. They hold the fact of the purchase and the store transaction identifier, not budget data. |
| Crash data (Sentry) | 90 days | Recorded without your email address and without expense content, so after deletion it can no longer be tied to you. |
| Entries in a household you do not own | the owner's decision | A shared budget belongs to the household. We detach your name from the account, but the expenses you added stay with the remaining members — otherwise their budget would stop adding up. |
5. What happens to your household
- You are the only person in the household — it is deleted along with your account and its entire history.
- You own it but other people are in it — hand ownership to another member or remove the others before deleting your account. Otherwise they would lose access to the shared budget without warning.
- You belong to someone else's household — you simply disappear from it. The owner keeps the shared history; your account and personal settings cease to exist.
6. Can't sign in?
If you have lost access and cannot delete the account yourself, write to privacy@beezz.app from the email address the account is registered to. That is the only way we can confirm the account is yours.
One sentence saying you want the account deleted is enough. We do not and will never ask for your password or card details.
We action the request within 30 days at the latest, usually within a few working days, and confirm it by email.
7. Other data requests
Deletion is one of the rights the GDPR gives you. If you need a copy of your data, a correction or a restriction of processing instead, write to privacy@beezz.app. The full list of rights and how to exercise them is in the Privacy policy.
