Beezz Calendar Privacy Policy

Beezz Calendar is a home calendar with no account and no server. Below we explain what stays on your phone, what we never send anywhere, and what happens when you write to us yourself.

1. In short

We do not collect any data from the app. Beezz Calendar has no account, no server, no analytics and no ads. Everything you type stays in your phone's storage - we cannot see it.

2. Who is responsible for your data

The controller is AKN Software Kasper Janowski ("we"). The full registration details - address and tax number - are in the Terms.

For anything about personal data, write to privacy@beezz.app. For everything else - kontakt@beezz.app.

This policy covers the Beezz Calendar mobile app. The Beezz budget app has its own privacy policy, which also covers the beezz.app website - including the page you are reading now.

3. What the app stores - and where

The app stores what you type into it:

  • your name and the names and colours of your household,
  • the calendar name and categories,
  • events and tasks - title, day, times, people (including people from outside the home), repeat rule and ticks,
  • settings: first day of the week, appearance and language.

This data is stored on the device only. The app sends it nowhere - the Android version does not even have the internet permission. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no third-party SDK that would transmit anything.

4. Household members and people from outside the home

The names of household members - children included - and of people from outside the home are typed in by the person who keeps the calendar. They stay on that phone and reach neither us nor those people. A first name or a nickname is enough.

5. Phone backups

If your system backup is on - Google on Android, iCloud on iPhone - the app's data may be included in that backup, under your account and on Google's or Apple's terms. We have no access to it.

6. When you write to us

"Suggest something or report a problem" in Settings opens your mail app with a message to kontakt@beezz.app, with the app version and your phone's system added. Nothing leaves until you send the email yourself.

From that message we receive what is in it: your email address, the text and those two details. We use them only to reply and to improve the app, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and keep the correspondence for up to 12 months after the last message.

The beezz.app mailboxes are hosted by Hostido (hostido.pl), a Polish hosting provider that stores the email on our behalf.

7. Stores, links and diagnostics

You get the app from Google Play or the App Store - downloads, updates and ratings are handled by Google and Apple under their own privacy policies. From the stores we receive only aggregate statistics that do not tell us who downloaded the app.

If you have agreed in your phone's settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Google or Apple may pass us crash reports for the app. Such a report describes where in the code the error happened and on what phone - the app adds nothing to it.

The Terms, this policy and the store page open in your browser or in the store.

8. Deleting your data

Settings → "Delete account" erases the whole calendar from the phone. Uninstalling the app does the same. We delete your emails to us on request sent to privacy@beezz.app.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing and to object. Because calendar data lives only with you, you exercise most of these rights yourself, in the app. For emails you sent us, write to privacy@beezz.app.

If you believe that we are processing data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland, or with the data protection authority of the EU country where you live or work.

10. Children

The app is meant for adults who plan the day of their home. It is not directed to children. A child can be a household member in the calendar - as a name typed in by a parent.

11. Changes to this policy

When the app starts storing data on a server - for example a calendar shared between several phones - we will update this policy before releasing that version. The date at the top of the page shows when the text last changed.

12. For residents of the United States

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. The app collects no personal information; the only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us by email (section 6).
